Glass Gem - popcorn with Gemstones

Glass Gem — corn with “gemstones.”
⚫️
This is not Photoshop or a craft project. This is the entirely real Glass Gem corn variety, created in the 1980s by plant breeder Carl Barnes, who inherited the traditions of the Cherokee people. Every Glass Gem kernel is unique: blue, purple, pink, green, and yellow shades combine to create the effect of stained glass or a kaleidoscope. This is the result of years of crossbreeding different corn varieties carefully preserved by Native Americans. Glass Gem corn loves sun, warmth, and fertile soil. Although this variety is considered decorative because of its hard kernels, it is edible. You can make popcorn from it or dry and grind it into cornmeal.
