In 1991 the company "CONAGRA" brought to Russia the equipment for processing corn kernels for popcorn preparation and presented samples of its products. Up to that moment, consumers of air popcorn existed in our country, but no one carried out industrial production of popcorn. CONAGRA organized Russian Popcorn production plant and, relying on the experience of Russian and American managers, created a full cycle of corn grain production for popcorn in Privolnaya village in Krasnodar Territory.

Natalya Ponomareva, the founder of R Popcorn, has worked for leading companies in Russia’s popcorn industry since than. She took part in opening the first movie theaters, in launching the sale of American ready-to-eat and microwave popcorn (POPZ brand), and later supplying raw materials to every factory in Russia producing popcorn.
